Hyperactive Bladder

A hyperactive bladder causes frequent and uncontrollable urges to urinate (Mutra Atitta), often accompanied by constipation (Malavastambha). This condition disrupts daily routines and can lead to emotional stress if untreated.

Panchakarma: Uttar Basti, a specialized enema therapy, is performed to directly address the bladder's hypoactivity by delivering herbal formulations to the urinary tract. Rectal Basti and treatments using Panchawalkal Kashay (a decoction made from five astringent herbs) further support detoxification and enhance bladder strength.
Yoga Therapy : Postures such as Matsyasana (Fish Pose), Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Bend), and Ardhamatsyendrasana (Half Spinal Twist) are incorporated into the therapy. Painful Bladder Syndrome

Painful bladder syndrome (PBS) or interstitial cystitis causes chronic discomfort in the bladder and pelvic region, impacting quality of life.

Persistent pelvic pain and discomfort.
Pain that worsens as the bladder fills and improves after urination.
Frequent urination and urgency without infection.
Leaking of Urine
Burning sensation during urination or pain during intercourse.

Treatment:

Cystoscopy is carried out to inspect the bladder for ulcers or inflammation and Uroflowmetry to assess urine flow and bladder function.
Shaman Chikitsa: Chandanadi Vati, known for its cooling and soothing properties, helps reduce inflammation and calm irritation in the urinary tract. Chandraprabha Vati, a versatile Ayurvedic formulation, supports urinary system health by improving bladder function and reducing pain. Additionally, Gokshur Kwath, a decoction made from Gokshura, is utilized for its anti-inflammatory and diuretic properties, which help alleviate discomfort and cleanse the urinary system.
